Miron Glass Water Bottle: Why Glass is Better Than Plastic

To save money and lessen our impact on the environment, more and more people carry their own drinking water when they are at the gym, hiking or running errands around town. They usually do this because it’s not safe to drink out of water fountains which contain chlorine and fluoride.

To carry your water you have a choice: plastic, stainless steel or glass. Plastic being cheap, light , disposable and unbreakable, is most often used despite the fact that it contains bisphenol-A (BPA) chemical which has been linked to breast and prostate cancers.

Plastic vs Stainless Steel vs Glass

Help Stop The Pollution Of Plastic and Switch Over To A Safer and Eco-Friendly Miron Glass Water Bottle!

  • Plastic bottles

Most water bottles are made with polyethylene terephthalate, a plastic derived from crude oil.

According to several studies, polycarbonate plastic gradually leaches a chemical called bisphenol-A (BPA) into foods and liquids that are stored in containers made from this material. The trouble is BPA may damage reproductive organs and has additional adverse effects by fostering the creation of tumors, causing breast cancer and destroying prostate by reducing sperm count.

As more and more people become aware of the impact that plastic bottles have on our health and our environment, reusable bottles made of glass or stainless steel are becoming increasingly popular with those that want to take their filtered or spring water with them wherever they go.

  • Stainless steel bottles

These bottles can take quite a lot of abuse without breaking, although they may get dented. But, the most important thing is, you can reuse them.

Stainless steel bottles are the second best option (to glass) and the best option if you can’t have a glass for reasons of safety (because it shatters when dropped).

  • Glass bottles

It is by far the best way to store both food and liquids. Glass doesn’t impart any flavors into the water or whatever liquid you have in the bottle. Glass is made from natural materials, heated sand and lime, and is dishwasher safe.

It does not impart unpleasant plastic off-taste to water and other beverages like plastic can.

Switching from plastic to glass is good for you, your family, and the environment and the fact that reusable glass bottles are gaining in popularity, shows that more and more people are making the right choice.

Miron Glass Water Bottles

miron glass

Miron glass was developed by a Swiss scientist and has outstanding capabilities of preserving substances contained within for extended periods of time. Normal tap water, for example, has been kept fresh in violet Miron glasses for over three years without any artificial preservation techniques being applied. Easily perishable foods have also been maintained for up to 3 weeks in Miron glass (which is great news for all hikers and campers).

The scientist claimed that remedies stored in containers made of this glass will not only be preserved for decades but will also be enriched/activated. Tests done during the last decades confirm this thesis.

Many other substances that would normally degrade over time have also been kept fresh for years in Miron Glass. Easily perishable substances such as crushed fruits, raw egg, etc. have also been kept fresh for weeks in Miron Glass containers.

How is this possible?

Miron glass, also known as Egyptian violet glass, allows only violet, ultra-violet and infra-red rays to pass through it. It works as a natural filter blocking all visible light, except the violet light. This means it blocks out the damaging kind of light, allowing only the beneficial light to penetrate. The valuable light improves the quality of substances in the bottle, extending the shelf-life as well as potency of perishable products without any preservatives.

Why Everyone Needs An Earthing Sheet On Their Bed!

The process of earthing connects us electrically with the Earth. Many of the diseases of civilization are a result of our almost constant exposure to toxic chemicals and dangerous electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs).

Although the best way to ground yourself is to walk barefoot on the grass, we often don’t have time to look for clean, safe and grass-covered places in which to walk. On the other hand, we spend about 30% of our time sleeping, so why not use that time for earthing?

Although we don’t sleep on bare earth or animal skins like our ancestors did, there are ways of earthing ourselves just as efficiently – with earthing bed sheets.

Our Toxic Environment

earthing sheet

We know that pollution can seriously weaken our immune system and allow toxins to enter our body. By pollution, we usually mean air, water and soil pollutants. However, there is also another kind of pollution, whose source is technology.

All electrical devices emit electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) and one of their main characteristics is that they interfere with our natural frequencies. That means that over-exposure to EMF radiation is potentially very harmful for human health.

Considering we live surrounded by sources of EMFs (computers, mobile phones, TV and radio, WiFi, power lines and various electrical appliances), we need to ground ourselves to the Earth in order to reduce the levels of this toxic radiation.

We know that the Earth is a huge reservoir of negatively charged free electrons and unless we somehow connect to them, the cells in our body can’t balance the positive charge which is created by free radicals.

The fact that most, if not all, illnesses are caused by toxin overload, and that EMF pollution is a massive environmental toxin, should make us think. The best way to detox is to eliminate as many toxins as you can from your life, and those that you can’t, learn how to fight naturally.

Earthing sheets are an easy way to connect to the earth and its healing powers.

When you are connected, electrons from the earth enter your electrically conductive body and stabilize environment of your cells, organs and tissues, thus providing an almost instant boost to your immune and cardiovascular systems.

What is known as “dirty electricity” or electromagnetic pollution is said to cause a build-up of positive electrons in the cells of our bodies. Protecting yourself while you sleep is simple and does not take up any time – you detox while you rest.

Connecting to the Earth while you sleep is easy with earthing bed sheets. You will not only be healthier, but will sleep better and be generally in a better mood.

Earthing Benefits

More Information On Earthing Sheets Can Be Found Here

The most immediately noticeable effect people report from being grounded is that they ‘feel better’. Their mood improves, their pains disappear or are considerable reduced, they feel at ease with themselves and the world around them.

With regular grounding, everyone can manage to:

  • Improve immune function

  • Improve digestion

  • Improve sleep

  • Be able to heal faster

  • Improve blood circulation

  • Harmonize and stabilize the body’s basic biological rhythms

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Reduce stress / anxiety / irritability

The Top Five Best Places to Camp in The United States

In countries like the US where there are big open spaces across the land, camping is one of the most popular outdoor activities.

Depending on your circumstances and preferences, you can do beach camping, mountain camping, wilderness camping, urban camping, canoe camping, RV camping, backpacking, etc. The good news is that camping, as well as other outdoor recreational activities, is gaining in popularity. This is partly because it’s an opportunity to escape the grind, and partly because you can mix camping and sports activities.

It seems that the more we are separated from nature through technology, the more we long to reconnect with it. Camping is an ideal way to switch off and unwind, be physically active and spring-clean your lungs.

With 58 national parks and over 10,000 vehicle accessible public campgrounds, it’s easy to find the right camping location. With so many places to choose from, whether you’re an adventurer or have a young family, you can easily find a campground which offers facilities you need.

Top Five Best Places To Camp

This is a list of five best places to camp in the US for the more adventurous:

  • Arches National Park, Utah

camping

Suitable for those seeking adventure and enjoying a challenge. Called a Red Rock Wonderland because of the thousands of massive natural stone arches and huge red rocks that litter the ground. This is not a place for the inexperienced, because it’s easy to get lost.

  • Olympic National Park, Washington

camping

Amazing place for any outdoor enthusiast. This park has three completely different ecosystems, including a rain forest. You can hike or watch whales migrate when the season is right. However, it can be very dangerous for single campers

  • Glacier National Park, Montana

camping

There are about 700 miles of hiking trails and hundreds of back country places hidden among the receded glaciers. Multi-day rafting trips can be arranged. Always be prepared for freezing temperatures and encounter with wildlife. Unattended pets and children will attract a mountain lion. Beautiful, dangerous, exciting

  • Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Colorado

camping

Rock climbers’ heaven, but not easily accessible. Breathtakingly beautiful, isolated and very challenging. Plenty of bears, so make sure to secure your food in bear-proof storage lockers and clean up your site after eating.

==>Check Out The Benefits Using a Hammock Here

  • Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

camping

A really wild place, potentially dangerous for the inexperienced. The glacier can be hiked and rafting is highly encouraged. Good place to practice survival skills, as trails are generally unmarked. Food must NEVER be left unattended even for a short while and needs to be stored in bear-resistant containers. All campers are required to attend a camper orientation.

The Benefits of Camping

Spending time in nature is not only good for our physical health, it also offers opportunity to, at least temporarily, still our thoughts and spend some time far away from the noise, pollution and crowds. Opportunity to reflect and maybe look at our life, or problems, from a different angle. Sometimes, that’s all it takes to find a solution for something that’s been bothering you for a while.

How Sleeping in a Hammock Can Reduce Back Pain and Improve Sleep

The first written record of the use of the hammock appears around 450 BC, but they were most likely used in the tropics since prehistoric times.

While more and more people are swapping beds for hammocks mainly for health reasons, ancient peoples probably used them for practical reasons: material was readily available, nets kept them safe from venomous spiders and snakes, and they were easy and quick to set up and pack up

Choosing The Right Hammock

Which one you’ll use depends on where you intend to sleep, what the weather is like and what facilities are available,  and if there are trees to hang your hammock on.  However, the best on Hammock on the Market by far is the Wise Owls Outfitters Camping Hammock.

Hammock Pros

  • Quick setup. Both set up and take down is quick and simple.

  • Comfortable. Extremely comfortable, especially for those with back problems.

  • Terrain. You don’t need a perfectly flat ground and can pitch over rocks and stumps.

  • Packing size. They are small and lightweight.

Hammock Cons

  • Can take only one person (there are double hammocks, but they are not very practical for sleeping because it’s impossible to turn or get out of it without waking your partner).

  • Weather. In areas where sand storms are likely, or in very cold or rainy weather hammocks are unpractical.

  • Need trees/rocks. Sometimes these are just not available.

  • Temperature. Because air circulates below, you may get cold at night.

  • Insects can be a problem.

  • If you are camping with other people, there is no privacy for changing clothes.

Camping Essentials

Five Camping Essentials You Don’t Want to be Without

There is an endless list of things you might want to take on a camping trip, but what you will actually take, largely depends on where you are going, how you plan to get there and how long you intend to be camping.

Backpacking vs RV

If you are going RV camping, you can take almost anything you think you might need – extra clothes, books and magazines, camera, extra batteries, spare boots, toys for children, etc.

But, assuming you are going backpacking and have to carry all you possessions, including food, clothes, tent, sleeping bag, first aid, and other essentials on your back, you have to be selective when packing.

5 Camping Essentials Every Back Packer Needs

Camping Essentials

Assuming you are camping on your own, in an area without any facilities (shops, telephone, hospital, roads, etc), the following list of five camping essentials is what you need to select carefully:

Tents

are the most essential piece of camping gear. For camping in the mountains, even in summer, they are a must, because there’s always the possibility of rain or even unexpected snow storm. Not to mention the mosquito. Find a tent that fits your needs and budget. The most important thing is that it keeps your dry, that it’s light and is easy to set up.

Sleeping bag

Regardless on where you usually camp (local family camp ground or Alaskan wilderness) you will choose a sleeping bag based on how warm and how light it is. To make your sleep more comfortable, it would be good if you could also squeeze a foam pad or an air mat in your backpack. You can also use a Hammock/Sleeping bag combo. Hammocks are great because they keep you off the forest floor away from insects, bugs, snakes, etc.

Flashlight

is always useful on a camping trip, but is an absolute necessity if you are camping in the wilderness. Besides making it easier to move around the camp after dark, it can be used for signaling. Size and weight are important, as is the battery life.

Water bottle

Dehydration is a common problem during hiking and camping in the wilderness, because you have to carry all the water you will need for that day, and you have to remember to drink it from time to time. Water from rivers and streams in the wild may look fresh and healthy, but it could be full of bacteria and parasites, so it’s best not to take chances. Currently, the safest type of water bottle is made of Miron Glass.

Food

Modern backpacker has a great variety of nutritious, dehydrated, prepacked or tinned food to choose from. Better yet, bring a fishing rod with you so that you can eat from the land. It’s also a good idea to get familiar with the edible plants and mushrooms around you.

Be Prepared

Camping Essentials

How successful or enjoyable your camping trip will be, depends on many things, such as weather, company, how prepared you are, etc.  But what can definitely ruin even the best planned trip, is the unsuitable gear, so make sure you test all your equipment beforehand. Remember to take only the essentials and to leave work behind.

Vibram Five Fingers

Vibram Five Fingers Shoe Review

Just like the paleo diet will give your digestive system a break by nourishing it with food you were genetically predisposed to thrive on, Vibram five fingers shoe will do the same for your feet.

We walked barefoot for more than two million years and we thrived and developed. Then we started wearing high heels, tight shoes which cramp our toes and running shoes with thick cushioning, and we started developing flat feet and various joint problems.

The bottom line is we evolved without shoes which means our feet are designed to be used without shoes.

These Vibram Five Finger Shoes Help With Your Posture and Give The Feel of Bare Feet!

Practical approach to the Paleo lifestyle

vibram five fingersFive finger shoes look like gloves for the feet, and they feel like gloves. They fit snugly around the foot, giving you a feeling of being barefoot, yet protecting your feet from sharp objects.

The problem with shoes, especially high-heeled or ill-fitting shoes, is that they affect our natural gait and put pressure on the ankle, knee and hip joints. Over time, this can cause back muscle imbalances and weird body posture, which explains why so many people have flat arches, knee pain, back pain, hip pain and other degenerative joint diseases.

Besides, those who have been wearing five finger shoes for couple of months notice that their toes are beginning to be a little more spread apart. Look at your feet, or at the feet of women wearing narrow shoes and you will notice how deformed their feet look, all the toes being jammed up against one another. Vibram five finger shoes will give your toes more “breathing space”.

Don’t be surprised if after wearing five finger shoes for some time, you start feeling very uncomfortable in normal shoes. You body is letting you know what it enjoy more.

Benefits of Vibram Five Finger Shoes

The idea behind the five finger shoes is to try and mimic the effects of going barefoot, which we know has many advantages:

  • Your toes, whose actual purpose is to cling to things and to get extra grip on the ground, have an opportunity to do just that.

  • Running barefoot, or in five finger shoes, you run more on the balls of your feet and less on the heals, and by doing this you put less pressure on your joints. At the same time, you are building more muscle in the legs

  • Your feet no longer feel heavy even if you’ve been on your feet for many hours.

  • You feel more sure-footed

  • Your posture improves, because you are using the muscles you should be using, and avoiding unnecessary pressure on hip and knee joints.

  • You feel more in touch with nature because you can feel underfoot. You actually notice a difference between standing on grass, sand, pavement or wood. You become more observant by noticing the world around you, even through your feet.

The whole idea of the paleo movement is to go natural. And you can’t go more natural than eating paleo and going barefoot.

Earthing Mat

Earthing Mat | Ground Your Bed For Better Sleep and Quicker Recovery

“Earthing” is the practice of making physical contact with the earth in order to defuse excess positive electrons, relieve stress, reduce pain and increase a feeling of well-being.

The easiest and cheapest way of “connecting” yourself to the Earth is by walking barefoot, but if this is not possible, you can still ground yourself by using a specialized grounding device inside your home or office called an “Earthing Mat.”

==> Check out The Reviews On This Earthing Sheet Here!

Earthing Mat: the Benefits of Earthing While Indoors

Earthing Mat

Until relatively recently we spent most of our lives outdoors and were in one way or another always in touch with nature. Nowadays, we live mainly indoors, wear clothes and shoes made of artificial materials, work in buildings with windows that don’t open and where electrical light is on all the time, buy packaged food, etc.

On top of that, our offices and homes are full of electrical appliances which even when they are not switched on, continue to radiate EMFs (as long as they are plugged in). The result is fast deteriorating health of entire world population.

Unfortunately, modern lifestyle means that we are not only disconnected from nature, but are exposed to harmful electromagnetic radiation for 24 hours a day.

How Can Earthing Mats Impact Your Health?

Earthing Mat

This Earthing Sheet Can Help Recovery and Enhance Well Being!

The Human body carries an electrical charge and everything we do is controlled and enabled by electrical signals running through our body. Reconnecting to the Earth’s natural healing energy is about the exchange of negative and positive ions. By connecting to the earth, we allow negatively-charged electrons to flow into our body and return it to optimum health.

We can’t change the world we live in, but we can change our immediate environment. Earthing can improve the quality of our life by preventing and reducing symptoms of heart disease, improving sleep, lowering stress, relieving headaches, reducing inflammation, etc.

There are many different variations of conductive devices that can be used for earthing indoors. You simply connect them to the ground port of the nearest electrical outlet. They usually come in the form of grounding mats, bed sheets, throws, patch kits, body bands, etc.

How Earthing Corrects Imbalances in the Body

Get The Benefits Of Earthing Indoors By Using This Earthing Sheet

Since we spend about 30% of our lives sleeping, the bedroom is probably the most important area to be grounded.

The main health benefits of earthing during sleep are:

  • Better sleep, which often means higher energy levels throughout the day
  • Reduced levels of chronic pain
  • Considerably lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol
  • Enhanced circadian rhythm. That is our internal “body clock” which tells our bodies when it’s time to sleep, rise, eat, work, etc. Modern lifestyle caused a serious circadian rhythm disruption, which is believed to be the main reason why millions of people are struggling with insomnia throughout their lives. Scientific research suggests that disrupted circadian rhythm is linked to increased chances of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, depression and bipolar disorder.

The best thing to use in a bedroom is an earthing sheet which is placed under your back. While you rest and sleep, your body is reconnecting, recharging and self-healing.

How Earthing Can Boost Your Health and Fend Off Sickness

Earthing was, until relatively recently, a part of life for most of us. For those who spend a lot of time outdoors, tilling the soil, gardening, camping, or simply walking barefoot, it still is.

Emerging scientific research has revealed that direct physical contact with the electrons on the surface of the Earth is very beneficial for human health. Unfortunately, modern lifestyle prevents such contact. The fascinating thing is that reports of how walking barefoot on the Earth enhances health and provides feeling of well-being can be found in literature and practices of many different cultures from around the world.

What is earthing and how it boosts our health

The idea behind the process of earthing is that our bodies should come into contact with the Earth as often as possible.

There is scientific evidence that our bodies and cells have electrical energy, and with the Electromagnetic waves all around us, positive electrons gradually build up in our bodies, often in the form of free radicals. Direct contact with the ground, through our hands or feet, balances this out as it is a negative grounding charge.

But, contact with soil has even more amazing and intriguing benefits.

As anyone who enjoys gardening will tell you, getting down on your knees and getting your hands dirty somehow makes you feel energized yet tranquil – just what we need.

==> Check Out This Article To Learn More About Earthing Sheets

Besides, considering we live at a time when depression has become a global epidemic, it’s unbelievable that a natural cure for depression has been all around us all the time. The latest research suggests that there are natural triggers for production of “happy” chemicals that keep depression at bay – all you need to do is get your fingers dirty.

Gardening, without gloves, can increase your serotonin levels. Apparently, contact with soil and a specific soil bacteria, Mycobacterium vaccae, triggers the release of serotonin in our brain. Serotonin is a “happy” chemical, a natural anti-depressant which strengthens the immune system, and lack of which causes depression.

How do you “earth”?

Earthing

The easiest and cheapest way to try is to spend about 30 minutes a day walking around on the grass, dirt, rock or sand barefoot. Or to engage in gardening, swimming in the ocean or simply sitting or lying on the ground.

If, for whatever reason, direct contact with earth is not possible, there are a number of options to help you install earthing devices indoors —from mattress pads that connect your bed to the earth via a grounding wire, wrist and ankle bands, chair covers, etc.

The benefits of connecting with Earth’s energy

Earthing

Earthing Sheets are Great For Those Who Spend Most of Their Day Inside

Earthing not only makes us feel better, it also helps with:

  • Reducing inflammation by defusing excess positive electrons
  • Reducing chronic pain
  • Improving Sleep
  • Increasing Energy
  • Lowering stress
  • Normalizing biological rhythms including circadian rhythm
  • Improving blood pressure and blood flow
  • Relieving muscle tension and headache
  • Lessens menstrual and female hormone symptoms
  • Speeds healing
  • Protecting the body from EMFs
  • Shortens recovery time from injury or athletic activities

So, after you’ve read this, get out and get your hands and feet dirty!

The Benefits of Barefoot Running And Walking Barefoot

Barefoot running may sound crazy, but we walked and ran barefoot for over two million years.  In fact, until relatively recently. In many warm climate countries, people still do. And like everything else that increases our contact with nature, walking barefoot greatly improves our health.

Barefoot Running: Let your feet breathe

Except when we sleep, our feet are constantly confined into some kind of footware. As a result, many of the muscles atrophy over time, because the body works on the “use-it-or-lose-it” principle.

When your bare feet touch the ground, nerve endings in the feet are reawakened and your relexology points are activated.  We all used to love walking barefoot when we were kids. Somehow, instinctively, the body knows what’s good for it.

The Benefits of Barefoot Running and Walking Barefoot

barefoot running

Barefoot running may take time getting used to, but it’s worth trying. These are some of the benefits:

  1. Greater balance

The biggest difference between running barefoot and running in shoes is in how the foot strikes the ground. By feeling the ground with your bare feet, the balance system of the brain becomes stimulated which leads to greater balance.

  1. Reflexology points are activated

Reflexology is the process of stimulating nerves on the bottom of the feet to stimulate the immune system, reduce blood pressure, reduce stress and tension, and to stimulate many other healing processes in the body.

  1. The Earthing process is activated

Your immune system functions optimally when your body has an adequate supply of electrons, which are easily and naturally obtained by barefoot contact with the Earth

  1. Greater strength.

By going barefoot one begins to wake up new muscles, both for balance and support. Super-models have to walk barefoot at the beach in order to tone ALL of their leg muscles.

  1. Feet heal

As the feet strengthen, many foot-related problems such as bunions and foot neuroma go away. Even arthritis slowly recedes as feet develop greater strength and flexibility.

  1. Greater circulation

barefoot running

Going barefoot not only wakes up long-dormant muscles of the feet and legs, but increases blood circulation, wihch means less aches and pains, less varicose veins, and warmer feet and legs in the winter.

  1. Better posture

With practice we can learn to improve our posture. Not only do we look better and get taller, but we greatly reduce all of the stress and strain on our bodies.

  1. Decreased blood pressure.

Studies show that by stimulating the nerve endings on the bottom of the feet, we can decrease blood pressure and reduce stress.

  1. Reduced inflammation

Going barefoot can also reduce inflammation which is the number one cause of many 21st century diseases – allergies, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, Autism, cancer,  lupus, MS, etc.

One possible solution may be to use earthing to reduce inflammation by walking, standing or even sitting barefoot on the ground.

Free radicals carry a positive charge. For a body to heal, you have to get rid of them. The earth naturally carries a huge negative charge, so direct contact with the ground allows us to discharge free radicals and start the healing process.

ancestral diet

Ancestral Diet Vs. The Modern Diet: Why Ancestral Diets Were Much Healthier

What we now call the modern Western diet originated about 10,000 years ago.

The Ancestral health movement warns that extremely unhealthy foods found in the Western diet, which actually dominate it,  are: cookies, cakes, ice creams, chips, crackers, soft drinks, bagels, snack foods, pizzas, etc.

The worst thing about the Western diet is that it’s convenient, tasty and cheap. And because it’s refined, hybridized and processed, over 70% of people who eat this diet are either heavily overweight or have serious health problems.

Hunter-gatherer vs agriculturalist

ancestral diet

As the earliest farmers became dependent on crops, their diets became far less nutritionally diverse than hunter-gatherers’ diets. Eating the same domesticated grain every day gave early farmers dental problems rarely found in hunter-gatherers. When farmers began domesticating animals, they had a constant source of milk and meat, but also of parasites and new infectious diseases. Farmers usually suffered from iron deficiency and archaeologists claim they shrank in stature.

The domestication of grains created a plentiful and predictable food supply, allowing farmers’ wives to bear babies in rapid succession. A population explosion followed and we now live with the consequences.

But, we shouldn’t assume that hunter-gatherers ate mainly meat. Observations of the Bushmen and other modern day hunter-gatherers show that they more often than not return home without meat. This suggests that our ancestors, who did not have weapons available to modern nomads, had even less luck catching prey.

At times when meat was scarce, they had to rely on the food their wives and children found while foraging: roots, tubers, nuts, seeds, fruit, etc.

But, perhaps the main difference between these two groups of people is that the hunter-gatherers were constantly on the move. Their diet was diverse and regardless of how much fat they consumed, they were never overweight.

Is it safe to go paleo?

ancestral health

Ancestral diets varied. Diet of Inuit people (who ate nothing but meat because no other food was available in the polar regions) was certainly very different from that of the Amazonian tribes (where there was plenty of fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, etc).

The point is that ancestral diet focused on local and seasonal foods and according to Ayurveda, that’s exactly how we should eat.

Saturated fats in meats can be beneficial, providing the animals are grass-fed. Besides, when our prehistoric ancestors ate fat, they did not also eat carbohydrates, sugar and salt, and we now know that it is these components, not meat, that is detrimental to the body.

Switching to Ancestral Diet

ancestral diet

Experts suggest that the dietary formula of our prehistoric ancestors can be the foundation for a balanced, healthy diet. We can exchange grains for quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat, and include tubers (potato, cassava, yam, carrot, turnip, beet, etc).

We shouldn’t place too much emphasis on meat mainly because the meat available today is full of antibiotics and growth hormones. Besides, unlike us, our nomad ancestors led very active lifestyles that protected them from obesity, heart disease and diabetes.  This is not to say you shouldn’t eat meat, rather, balance it out with veggies.   This gives the health benefits of both worlds.
